Have you ever seen one of those photographs of someone standing completely still in the center of a circle with everything around the circle's radius blurred from motion? Well that's me.
Right in the middle of everything. Yet obscured from sight.
Previous to wedding photography I specialized in portraits and street photography exhibiting my work in galleries throughout the United States. In 2007 the USAF leased my project 'Days Gone By; The Pilots, Crew and Aircraft of the Boneyard'. It traveled for about 6 months. I worked with film at the time, developing my negatives in a makeshift darkroom, then framing and shipping out for different exhibitions.
Today, after about 10 years shooting weddings I am able to combine the same style of portraits and street photography, digitally, providing unique and original works of art. Each image delivered to my couples or clients is individually, hand edited just as I would for my fine art work in galleries. Frankly, I feel weddings and fine art are one and the same. Moments are captured, but framed in a unique and artistic manner. Portraits are meant to capture your essence, the power behind the facade. That's what we do together. And honestly, isn't that ultimately what you want? Some totally kick butt portraits sprinkled among candids of you two experiencing all that New Orleans has to offer?
