I'm going to be really candid here. I don't photograph traditional weddings. I abhor the point and shoot aspect of planned moments. I won't recreate moments. I don't copy other photographers' shots you might like. It's so very important that you hire a wedding photographer who matches your style. The most important thing you can do when planning your wedding photography is being honest with yourself. What do you want as an ultimate product? What feel do you want when you view your photographs? It matters. A great deal.
There are a plethora of photographers, really good ones, available. Many who do those types of weddings. They love them. And they are great at making those beautiful, ethereal shots with assistants holding lights and reflectors, fussing over every shot. What I am is someone who frames honest, right then and there moments, artistically. Your final photographs look like a big production but weren't. Gives you a more relaxed feeling as we play. I want your final wedding photographs to be beautiful works of art, each and every single one of them. And I want it to look like a big production without one. Keep it simple and unobstrusive. That is how I get those moments. The ones that make you stop and remember.
