As an artist what better venue for your wedding than The Degas House. Edgar Degas, a famous French Impressionist painter (while he preferred the terms Realist or Independent), lived here on Esplanade Avenue one summer. The house exhibits his work and penchant for beauty. The Degas House is a New Orleans Bed and Breakfast offering weddings, special events, painting classes, tours and now Chef Curated Dinners. Be sure to check them out if you are looking for something off the beaten track but close to the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. It is located in the Heart of Treme.
