I had the pleasure of photographing two weddings at Kingsway House on Esplanade Avenue in New Orleans.
The first time I toured the house prior, I was blown away with the gorgeous artwork. It was like stepping into an art gallery.
Kingsway House is a private residence now, purchased a few years ago from Nicolas Cage, his former residence. Prior to Nic Cage's aquisition the house was famous as a recording studio attended by the likes of The Rolling Stones. It's modern, clean and peek out the side to the gorgeous garden area with reflecting pool and plenty of space for a private and very cool wedding.
A few weeks ago I had the honor of photographing a 10-year wedding vow renewal, three day party really, of a couple from Los Angeles. Surrounded by a small passel of their best friends we photographed for three days starting at Nola Brewing with a shrimp boil and jazz trio, then a 'flash-mob' bachelorette party, saying the words, second-lining on Frenchman Street and all over the Marigny, escorted by Orleans Parish Sheriffs Deputies. Finally we finished the extended party at The Blue Nile nestled in a private area equipped with booze, mixers and ice.
Can it get any better?
Well yes it can!
The band playing was Big Sam's Funky Nation. Check out some of my favorite shots from their wedding and party. Contact information and additional links to vendors below photographs.
