Wedding Tip #46 - Wedding Night Dinner in New Orleans

Best Wedding Dinners in New Orleans

There are a million places to eat in New Orleans. And many are amazing.

I have my favorites and some off-the-beaten-tracks gems. I am not swayed by the popularity of a restaurant but on the food and service quality. So here are a few I have not only photographed but had the pleasure of sharing dinner with my couples.

ARNAUDS on Iberville and Bourbon Street

This place has top quality service along with one of the best filet mignons I've ever had. And, bonus, you can rent a private room upstairs, some with access to the balcony overlooking Iberville and Bourbon Street. The perfect location for fun candids, beautiful portraits and a great New Orleans meal.

MURIEL'S Jackson Square

Right beside the famous St. Louis Cathedral in the French Quarter, is an iconic place, ghosts included with your meal. Muriel's has cool rooms upstairs with balcony access overlooking Jackson Square. And the food...awesome is all I can say! Service is spot on. This restaurant puts you close to all the action and beautiful spaces for engagement, elopement or wedding portraits.

THE RITZ CARLTON on Canal Street

I've always loved this hotel for their amazing customer service and it is a beautiful place to have a wedding in New Orleans. The food? Well, let the pictures speak for me.

CITY PARK and AUDUBON PARK or AQUARIUM

No pictures here because they are buried on hard drives, but I can tell you I was blown away by the food at both locations who provide their own catering. Planning a destination wedding? Little time? You can't go wrong with the Pavilion of the Two Sisters or the Old Casino above the coffee shop in City Park or by renting the Cajun exhibit area at Audubon. With its wrap-around walkways above native Louisiana wildlife, it is very cool. A real crowd pleaser.

There are many more New Orleans cool and unique restaurants as well as off-the-beaten track locations but I save those for my booked clients. One perk that comes with artistic and unique photography is help in planning and time-lines. It's just something special I offer.
