Here in New Orleans permits are needed for a few things associated with your wedding.  If you choose to get married in a park, most likely there is a permit fee.  Second Line Parades need both a permit and a NOPD escort. Fees are reasonable. Check out this link from the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau for details and costs associated with the permits.
